Have you ever looked back at your life and thought about all those small clues that God planted in your life of a specific career you enjoy doing now? I have! There are so many times where I would look back at my childhood and relate it to where I am at in life right now.

Like I have mentioned before, I am currently in College to become a Certified Kindergarten Teacher and I believe God placed teaching in my heart. For instance, I remember back when I was in Elementary School, I dressed up as a Teacher on Career Day because that was what I wanted to be when I grew up!

On my free time, I would play school and be the teacher of my imaginary students. That was always my favorite thing to do! Honestly, I was never a “normal” student in Elementary, since I was the little girl who wanted to have her own overhead projector and overlays just like the teachers. I was obsessed with overlays and there were times where one of my teachers would give me their overlay once they were done using it (I used them for when I played school). I could go on and on about different scenarios from my childhood, which led me to this career choice.

I want you to take a moment to think about things you enjoy doing and are passionate about. Whatever it may be, that is your one of a kind gift from God. No one else has your gift because He never creates an identical copy of another individual. It is your calling.

I truly do believe it is important to be so passionate about your career as if it would feel like you are not “working” at all. You simply love what you do. I know, there are individuals who are miserable about their career choice and just want to take a vacation from it all. Who would want to live that way? I would rather love my job instead of just dreading getting up for work in the morning and being the person who always can’t wait for the weekend to come. I don’t want to ever become that person.

Everyone has that one teacher they will always remember no matter how old they get. Let me tell you, those teachers are truly passionate about what they do and have a huge heart for children. The teacher that you remember the most, taught you to love learning and encouraged you to never give up on your Academics. Teachers deserve so much recognition for all that they do. It takes a HUGE heart to teach little minds!

Once I am a teacher, I am going to love my students as if they were my own. Every child deserves to feel loved and know that their teacher really does care about them. There are children who came from a rough background or a unusual family structure. Every child has a story that a teacher might not know about. I would want my students to know that they can always come talk to me when they are going through a difficult time in their life or when they need help.

Believe it or not, I will be teaching the future of this world and I am going to do my best to teach them right from wrong. We need to spread kindness everywhere we go because it truly does make a difference on how we treat other people. I also had another time in my life that I realized teaching is meant for me, but that story will be coming soon!

Go out and find your calling that God has for you. If you don’t have a clue on what that may be right now, pray about it and it will come to you soon. Remember: If you’re passionate about your career, you will never feel like you are actually working because you love it so much. To whomever is reading this, I am praying that you find whatever God calls you to do in your life.
