hello-2

I stumbled upon Matthew 13:45-46 and as I read it, I had a difficult time understanding what it actually meant. I read it over and over to myself until I finally grasped the concept of what Jesus meant by this Bible Verse. There is a hidden message written all over it!

The verse starts off by comparing Heaven to a merchant, “a person who trades in commodities produced by other people.” Then, goes on saying that the merchant is searching for fine pearls. Why is Matthew 13:45-46 comparing Heaven to a person who looks for items that are valuable?

The way I see it, this verse is more like God is the merchant who is looking for us to spend forever with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Then, the Scripture ends with, “When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes sells all that he has and buys it.” When I read this sentence, I imagined God looking down on Earth, trying to search for an individual who is priceless to Him. Once God finds that person, He takes everything He has and takes he or she Home with Him.

We are the pearl the Bible is talking about.

Tips on balancing life with your career and a new baby

I love how Matthew 13:45-46 compares us to a beautiful pearl, since they are admired by many people. Believe it or not, we are worth so much to God. He will go out of His way just to find us.

You don’t need to find your worth in Earthly things because God already knows what you are worth. You are priceless to Him.

If you haven’t already, you need to know your worth. What I mean by that is to never settle for anything less than what God desires for your heart.

You are loved so much by God and you are His.

I hope Matthew 13:45-46 has touched you in some way and you will walk away from this with knowing that you are worth so much to God. I mean, He did compare you to pears!      I love digging deeper when I read Bible Verses, in order to find the true meaning behind a scripture.

When you find the time, please listen to “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. It is such a beautiful song and I believe everyone needs to hear the lyrics.

“The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me. In You, I find my worth, in You I find my identity. You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing. You say I am strong when I think I am weak and You say I am held when I am falling short. When I don’t belong, oh you say that I am Yours and I believe.” ~Lauren Daigle
