How To Prevent Procrastinating

Hi, everyone! I am so excited to talk to y’all about this topic! I will be discussing three important tips I found that help me to not procrastinate. If you struggle with procrastinating, I encourage you to stick around and maybe try some of these tips.

For those who don’t know, throughout most of my life, I have been the “overachiever” in school. I still continue to get assignments done ahead of time in College. I can’t even see myself as one of the ones who wait until the last minute by procrastinating.

I believe that when you start working on an assignment or something else that you need to get done in your life, way ahead of time, then you will be living a stress-free life! To be honest, I just finished an essay that is due in December… It was my one and only essay that I had for the entire semester, so I was excited to get it out of the way!

I have also been asked a numerous amount of times about how do I find the time for my blog and creating the pictures that go along with the blog post. Let me tell you, I make time for my blog; I have to prioritize on what is important to me and what’s not. Since the semester has started, it has been difficult getting blog posts done during the week because of loads of homework I have from my classes. I would normally get each blog post done in the middle of the week when it was Summer, but that is not the case now.

I keep my blog going because of you guys and for God because He was the one that made all of this happen. He told me that I should just start a blog and I obeyed Him.

Now, I do all of the graphics for both of the two blog posts on Friday’s, write the blog post for the Life of Kylie on Saturday’s, and then the one for Kylie’s Corner on Sunday’s. This schedule seems to work for me and I do my best to give you guys, my subscribers, great content. I will continue to do that and please don’t be afraid to reach out to me.

Anyways, here are the three tips that have helped me to not procrastinate and I still do these things in my daily life!

Add heading-7

1. Have A Clean Place In Your Room To Study Or Get Things Done

This is the most important tip when it comes to not procrastinating! When you just want to sit down and get things done, you want to have a clean space in order to do those things. As you can tell in this picture, every single thing on my desk has a place and I love to be organized. When your room or desk is messy, you tend to get distracted when you are attempting to accomplish a task. That is why it is important to always have a clean and quiet space where you can work peacefully.

I always do my homework and blogging at this desk in my room. It is a quiet place where I can do all of my thinking at! Do you have a quiet place somewhere in your room?

2. Write A To-Do List And Have A Place To Put All of Your Cute Pens/Pencils In

This second tip is one of my favorite things to do when I have a long list of assignments to get done! First, I write everything that I need to get done for the day on a sticky note. I go down the list, so the first Item I write down is the one I will start on first. As I accomplish whatever is on the list, I scribble it out with my pen. This is just one of the ways that help me get through things that I need to do and who doesn’t love crossing things out?! Also, having a cute container of pens and pencils on your desk will help you be more productive. Look at how cute my writing utensils look in a container!

3. Print Out A List of The Due Dates And Highlight Them As You Finish Each Assignment

Ever since the beginning of my Freshman year of College, I started making it a habit to print out the Assignment Calander for each class. It made my life a whole lot easier than using a planner and I still do this today.

As you go along through the semester, make sure to use a highlighter to mark off what day you have completed. That way, you will know what you need to do next and what all will be coming up soon!

There you have it! Those are the three tips that have helped me to not procrastinate in my life. This has worked for me and you may find something totally different that helps you; that is ok too. I know that everyone has probably procrastinated some point in their life because we all are human and no one is perfect.

I love getting things done ahead of time, but that is just the person I am! I hope some of you enjoyed reading about the ways you can prevent procrastinating and I will see everyone on Friday!
