Jesus Will Comfort You

This is such a comforting Bible Verse! Before I get into it, today is Good Friday, which is the day Jesus died on the cross at 3:00. I always say this when Easter comes around, but a lot can happen in three days! And by the way, Easter is my most favorite celebration ever because there is so much meaning behind it. Is Easter your favorite, too?

Anyways, Jesus does comfort us when we’re hurting, when we feel unloved, when we’re broken, and when we feel like giving up. He is always there to comfort us, even when it doesn’t seem like He is there. Jesus always know what you’re going through and He tries to find a way to make everything better for you. He knows what you need even before you realize you need it!

Jesus is also close to the broken-hearted and we all have a special place in His heart. There is something about 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 that makes me feel so calm and this is coming from a person who has anxiety off and on. Some days I’m talkative and in such a wonderful mood and other days where I feel like something is weighing down on me. This is one of the perfect Bible verses for those who have anxiety or any struggles because we all need reassurance that everything will be okay. We all long for that by people, but why don’t we come to Jesus to be comforted?

There are times where I have to bring everything to Jesus, drop it all at His feet, and tell Him, “I surrender all of it. Please help lead me.” When you say this, He will help lead you through whatever you’re going through.

Did you know that Jesus was also comforted when He was carrying His cross?? Jesus was all bloody and struggling with carrying this heavy cross to where He was going to die. There was this lady named, Veronica, who washed Jesus’ face with a wet wash cloth. That’s such a sweet gesture that she did, especially with so many people mocking Jesus when people would hit Him. Jesus was comforted by her.

We learn to comfort others because Jesus knows what it’s like to go through difficult times. I mean, He died on the cross for all of us and if that isn’t love, I don’t know what is! He loves us so much. This shows that Jesus taught us to comfort people including those we don’t really know because we are constantly being comforted by Jesus daily. That’s just something for you to think about on this Good Friday!
