This year I have been trying to be more positive in my thoughts and my overall life! So far, it has been amazing and I feel so much better when I am positive.

Part of Romans 8:6 says, “the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”

When you fill your mind with positive thoughts and gratitude, you tend to be more happy and you feel like you’re able to take on whatever the day throws at you! It’s honestly true. Let’s think about it – when you wake up, do you tell yourself, “I really don’t want to go to school” or “I wish it was the weekend so I wouldn’t have to go to work!” When that is our first thought in the morning, we’re not going to have the best day with that attitude. We have to own the day and tell ourselves, “what a wonderful day God has given me, I can take on whatever the day brings. I won’t be defeated and I need to take one day at a time!” Doesn’t that sound much better compared to saying how you don’t want to go and that you wish it was the weekend??

For you to be positive, you need to find something that motivates you. You should start out by asking yourself, “Why am I doing this? Why do I want to do this?”

If you don’t have something that motivates you throughout the week, then you won’t be positive all the time.

I don’t know about y’all, but when I am positive, it brings so much peace in my life and makes me so happy! I know that some days it’s not easy being positive and that is when we need to dig a little deeper by looking towards God to help us get through the day or even the week!

Since this Kylie’s Corner is about having a positive mind and life, I figured I would share some tips that I have found that helps me:

Have a Quote of the week

On the Kylie’s Corner & More Instagram, I have added something new where every Sunday I post a positve quote on Instagram Stories and it’s the quote of the week. I also have a category for it on my highlights where you can see all of them. Anyways, this helps me to have a quote of the week because first – it holds me accountable to be more active on the Kylie’s Corner & More Instagram and second – I love looking at that one quote of the week throughout each day and it has truly helped me with being more positive!

Have a list of YouTuber’s or even your favorite blogger’s that inspire you

I have a written a blog post about the YouTuber’s that have brought positivity into my life and it went up before this blog post! I encourage you to read it because when you watch someone on YouTube or even read someone’s blog who are so positive and uplifting, you’re more than likely want to become like them because trust me, positivity is contagious!

Fuel your body with healthy foods

This tip has overall helped me to become more positive! Have you ever eaten something that you were craving and it wasn’t healthy at all for you, but you eat it anyway; later on, you don’t feel so good?? It has happened to me before and that is one of the reasons why I try my best to eat better for my body because I have found that when I do eat healthy, I feel so much better on the inside and I have more positive energy!

Try not to surround yourself with people who are negative 24/7

Here’s my last tip for y’all! It can be difficult to stay away from people who are negative because what if you work with that person? I want to tell you that you do have a choice to either be negative or positive, even when people around you are negative! You have to choose to filter out the negativity and turn it into something positive. It is true that who you surround yourself with, you’re more than likely to become like them. So, choose your friends wisely and the ones who do have that positive energy, you’ll want to be around them more. It’s honestly okay to have a small circle of friends, choose people who bring out the best version of you!

I hope some of these tips help you to have a positive mind and life!

When you find the time, please listen to “Ready or Not” by Britt Nicole!

“Ready or not, here I come. I’m about to show you where the light comes from. Oh, oh. Ready or not, here I come. This is who I am, I won’t hide it.”

“Staying positive does not mean that things will turn out okay. Rather, it is knowing that you will be okay no matter how things turn out.”

Think about the things the Lord thought about! It keeps you straight when you think about it!

  2. I love the look and feel of your blog! It’s so inviting and friendly. I agree with all of this and especially liked that you mentioned fueling our bodies with healthy foods. I notice that when I don’t eat healthily I am not as fun and don’t feel as well! I also liked the suggestion about youtubers. I haven’t thought to do this. I subscribe to some pastors and churches to hear sermons but there is so much on YouTube I probably don’t know about because I seldom explore! Thanks for the reminder!

  3. I agree that going through life with a positive attitude brings so much peace and joy! I love your tips and will follow your Insta to see the weekly quotes. I started praying before I get out of bed in the mornings, and it really grounds me.

  4. ” I feel so much better when I’m positive…” I can not agree more! I have written a similar blog about having a positive morning in order to have a positive day. Especially the importance of enjoying life even when it’s not the weekend!
