Have you ever been in a situation where you have asked yourself, “Where is God in times like this?” or “Why did God make this happen, I’m so mad at Him for this.” It’s ok if you have because I have been there too and God taught me something; He isn’t in any of those things that bring devastation to our lives. God also taught me that there is a reason why He “lets” those things happen to us.

1 King 19:13-14 says: After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, came a gentle whisper.

The Bible Verse goes on by saying how God wasn’t in any of those tragedies that happened, like the earthquake and fire. It’s so crazy to me how there are people out in this world who blame God for terrible things that happen on Earth and that’s not right. He doesn’t want to hurt us and some people probably think that He laughs when we are struggling on Earth. I doubt it. Then, there are also people who say, “Where is your God?? Wouldn’t He help you, but where is He??” As if God wanted these horrible things to happen to us. I truly believe that God isn’t found in any of these things that the world has to offer to us because we need to keep our eyes on Him in order to find Him, especially in times of trouble.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. -2 Timothy 3:1

God warned us about this. He told us how we’re going to face many trials in our lives, but why do we still end up blaming Him for everything? It’s honestly not God’s fault at all. The reason He gives us so many trials is because He is testing our faith and there is always, always a reason for why God does things. He will reveal that reason to you sooner or later. We just have to wait until He does and when He does, it will make sense to why He caused you pain.

What do you do when you’re going through something difficult in your life or that you know someone else is going through something that literally turns their life upside down? What do you do when you turn on the news or even read articles about something tragic that is going on in the world? Some would say that they stop and pray. Then there are people who say that “prayers aren’t helping the situation.” I disagree with that statement because I truly believe that prayers are powerful and God is always listening to us, even when we call out to Him. I know that just by praying doesn’t change the situation, but it is something and if we all come together to pray, it is such a beautiful thing to do. We all need prayers and I will be praying for every one of you who reads this post.

I pray that God may guide you and lead you out of whatever you’re currently going through. I know it is difficult right now and just know that God does have a purpose for you. I know it is easy to blame God for everything and be mad at Him, but He is not doing this to hurt you. He still loves you and cares. God is doing this to make you stronger – You’re a fighter! I pray that your life is filled with joy and that overflowing blessings will be coming your way.

That’s the thing when people ask, “Where is God at??” They think that God doesn’t love them and that He is punishing them for some reason. Nothing or no one will ever separate us from God’s love and He is the reason why we love others. If you’re still reading, I want you to take away from this blog post is that God isn’t the reason why horrible things happen to us here on Earth. He is not in any of those things and He still loves us; He loves you.

When you find the time, please listen to “Oh Lord” by Therapy Session.

“It’s easy to blame God, but harder to fix things. We look in the sky like, “why aren’t You listening?” Watching the news in our living rooms on the big screens and talking about “if God’s really real, then where is He?” You see, the same God that you saying might not even exist becomes real to us, but only when we’re dying in bed. When your healthy it’s like, we don’t really care for Him then. Leave me alone God, I’ll call You when I need You again.”

Remember: When it storms, a beautiful rainbow appears after.

  1. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He knows because He’s been further than a mile in our shoes! And He never blamed His Father for His sufferings. We have to empty ourselves to be like that.
