This is something that I have been learning to do this year and there has been many lessons that God put me through that has shown me how protecting my inner peace is so important.
Before I get into this Kylie’s Corner for today, I want to ask you something: do you know what inner peace is? For those who don’t know, inner peace is the feeling inside of you where you are just so content with life, everything is going good for you until… someone’s actions are attempting to affect you, but do you let it? No, you keep on going with your life and you don’t worry about what others are doing – this is an example of someone protecting their inner peace.

I guess you can say it’s kinda like not letting someone steal your joy during the day or not letting that one person ruin your entire day. When you protect your inner peace, you are preventing those things from happening.
There’s something about protecting your inner peace that is just so beautiful about it and it is also similiar to guarding your heart, too.
When you protect your inner peace, you are choosing to focus more on yourself instead of putting all your energy into focusing on what someone else is doing. Believe it or not, this was a difficult lesson that God put me through and because of it, I have learned that I need to focus on what I’m doing right now and do everything in silence.
I don’t know if you have experienced this before or not, but when you’re so excited about something that will be happening in your life or a dream you have for your future, please keep it to yourself. Yes, I know how hard that is for you to do. Trust me, I know. For instance, once I had the idea of starting a blog (this blog you’re reading right now), I wanted to tell someone about what I was going to do. Even when I was designing graphics for the Live Your Faith online store, I wanted to tell someone because I was just so excited and I eventually told my mom about it! By the way, something with Live Your Faith will be happening soon and that’s all I will say, for now!
My point is that when you tell someone your dream and that it’s something you are really excited about, the person you tell has potential to crush your dreams way before your dream even started. Words hurt, guys. The one person you tell can make you overthink every little thing about your dream, so that is why it is best to work hard in silence, even though it’s difficult to keep your mouth shut about it! It’s going to be so worth it, trust me.
When you protect your inner peace, you will feel so much better because your main focus is taking care of yourself and how you feel on the inside.
Psalm 62:1-2 says, “My soul finds rest in God alone, my salvation comes from Him, He alone is my rock and my salvation.”
We can also find peace when we seek God and when we do, it feels like all of our worries and fears about life go away because we put our trust in Him that He will take care of us. I will leave you with that.
Are you protecting your inner peace? If not, are you thinking about doing it?

When you find the time, please listen to “Free” by Riley Clemmons. The meaning by the song is what God has been showing me recently, especially since college has started back up again!
“I’m letting go. I’m leaving all the prisons I have known. I follow You ’cause I believe it’s time to start living. Living like I’m free. I’m not going to let the past keep holding me. No matter what tomorrow brings, I’m never going back again.”

Thank you so much for stopping by on the Kylie’s Corner & More blog! If you would like to, you can purchase your personalized, signed copy of Kylie’s Corner and a complimentary bookmark I designed, here! Kylie’s Corner is a devotional for anyone who is in High School and up – you can read more about Kylie’s Corner. I talk about beauty in God’s eyes, society, anxiety, and so much more in the Kylie’s Corner book. If God has someone on your heart that you feel the need to give this inspiring book to, please listen to Him. The individual may need to hear the words God put in my heart at the time when I wrote the Kylie’s Corners that are in this book.

I recently added a new product to the Live Your Faith Store – A 12 oz. Mason Jar that has the Live Your Faith logo on it!

I hadn’t really thought of it in that way before, but that makes a ton of sense! I definitely don’t do a good job at protecting my inner peace but I need to work on it
