Since October is finally coming to a close, our challenge for this month was to embrace the change in our lives and the last blog post was about why we need to let change into our lives. This blog post is all about ways that might help us accept the change in our lives!

It’s Fall now, which the leaves start changing and they start to fall off the trees. Let the leaves symbolize us because we need to let go of our old life and embrace the new. Did you know that change can be sometimes a good thing? Yep, it can be!

You have to embrace the change with wide open arms instead of resisting it.

Here’s an example from my life:

For one of my classes, I have to go to an Elementary every other week with my class that I’m in. A few of my classmates and I have to teach Kindergarteners about something they want to learn. Then, we create a project for them to do. From the very beginning of this semester, I was nervous about it and it was the fact of teaching with two other classmates. I honestly would rather teach by myself, but I embraced the class and I had to teach myself to look at this situation a different way. I was only looking at the negative parts of it.

This is what I told myself

  1. God wants you to grow and this is going to help you become a better teacher.
  2. This is going to be fun; if it’s not, then make it fun!
  3. You will become a leader to your group.

I had to find the positive side to it and then, change my mindset, so that is what I want you to do, too.

Make a list in your head and think about the positive side of the change in your life. Will it help you grow? Is it a new opportunity? Is it something you have been waiting on forever and God has finally answered your prayer? Whatever it is, always think about the list you made and remind yourself of those things when you get in a negative mindset – this will help you!

Read a book that will help change your mindset

This tip has been a huge one for me in my life! I am currently reading, You Are a Bad*** Every Day by Jen Sincero. That word isn’t in my vocabulary, so I bleeped it out. The reason why I’m reading it is because a YouTuber I watch recommended the book and she is always so positive all the time, so I decided to read it! So far, it is motivational and it’s basically a manifestation book. I try to always read before I go to bed, so that is what I have been reading!

I know I have mentioned this before, but you should really get yourself a library card because once you get one from your local library, you will have access to Ebooks when you get the CloudLibrary app on your phone! You get to read books for free and that is what I have been using! I’m not sponsored by the app, I just want to spread the word about it because I didn’t know this was a thing until I had to get a library card because of a class I was taking last semester!

So, read something that will uplift you and when you read a book that inspires you, your mindset will start to change!

Look up positive quotes

This is the last tip that I do in my own life and it has helped me to be more positive, especially about change!

I always look up positive quotes on Pinterest and it tends to help me with embracing change. Even when your eyes look at something positive, you will start to look at your life differently. You will become more happy, you will be thankful for the change in your life, and you will start to realize that change isn’t really a terrible thing!

I hope these three tips help you come to terms with change in your life!

Remember: Breathe. Everything is going to be ok and trust God’s plan for you.
