Have you ever been in a situation where things kept on getting worse and worse, but you didn’t understand why it was all happening to you?

Did you feel as if you were distant from God or did it bring you closer to Him?

I am currently learning that there are times where God doesn’t allow the storm to calm down.

Let me explain: Sometimes, God lets the storm roar and become massive because He wants us to be closer to Him. God wants us to come to Him and have Him be our guide throughout the entire storm. God wants to calm our fears even when we are in the middle of a storm in our lives.

The storm serves as a metaphor because it’s not literally raining on us; we are just going through some difficult times in our lives to the point we feel as if it’s never going to end.

God has been teaching me this ever since I started taking control of my health and putting it first. Since starting this journey of taking care of myself in July, I have been through so many emotions and it has been a long journey, but it’s not over yet.

The way I see it, it’s just a huge storm over me and God isn’t going to make it stop just yet because He wants me to trust Him more than ever. He is probably laughing at me while saying that I worry way too much and telling me that this storm will pass soon!

Even when you feel all alone in the storm and you try to keep everything you’re going through to yourself, you’re not alone and you will never be because God is right by your side. I know you feel like He is not there and you don’t understand why He is causing this storm to happen in your life; I know because I have been there, too.

This storm is going to make you so much stronger than you were before and you might feel like you’re weak now, but you will start seeing it once God allows the storm to pass!

God is going to wash all your fears away and He is going to create a miracle out of this mess! Please don’t worry about what will happen next because the truth is that God only knows and He always has a reason for why He does things in our lives – it’s not for us to figure out though.

Keep on holding onto God and the storm will be over sooner than you think.

I also want to tell y’all that I have seen my Endocrinologist on November 1st and I have written the next blog post for the series, but I am waiting on some things first before I post it.

While you’re waiting for the next one, if you haven’t already, I encourage you to read the first blog post of the series and there are a total of four blog posts, so make sure you read all four! After you read the first one, there is a link towards the end of the blog post that will lead you to the second blog post. The series is basically about the importance of taking care of your health and so many hormonal issues I have had in the past, so I encourage you to read them, especially if you’re a woman reading this!

When you find the time, please listen to “Anchor” by Skillet.

“You are my anchor
So steady me, steady me now
You are my anchor
You’re keeping my feet on the ground
In angry oceans, You’ve never broken through
Every wave of the storm
You are my anchor
So steady me, steady me now
Come steady me, steady me now

When I get tired of fighting
All of the fears I’ve been hiding
You gave me a breath, and tell me to rest
You never left
I can, I can, I can hear You, calling me by name
Pulling me up from under my shame
I’ll never be the same
I can face anything, so let it rain

Don’t let go
I don’t want to do this alone”
