Have you ever played The Game of Life before? I have! In this game, your player is in a car and all throughout the game, you choose how you want to live your life – College or work? Career? Salary? House? Getting married? Having a family?

You basically go through life in this game and it’s so ironic how we want things to happen right now just like in the Game of Life, but it’s actually a process to achieve whatever you’re wanting to achieve.

The game is similar to real life, but it’s not. In the game, does it tell you little details about what will be happening in your life, like memories, struggles, etc.? Nope, I don’t think so!

Real-life is not a game to be played.

We get one chance at it, not several lives. It’s not like a video game or board game. We don’t just die and then, come back as if it never happened. That is what happens in video games.

Life isn’t a game.

We think we have all the time in the world.

Ephesians 5:15-16 says to make the most of our time and not waste it.

I think we waste time because we don’t realize how much time we have left.

We can never get the same hours back.

We also wait until the perfect moment to compliment someone or say something kind. Why do we hold back?

If you have something to say that you have been wanting to tell someone, say it. Don’t hold back. You never know when it will be your last time that you will be able to talk to this person. You don’t want to regret later on that you wished you would have said whatever you needed to say to that person. Just say it before it’s too late. This also goes for telling your love ones you love them. You just never know when God is going to call them Home.

We also waste so much time scrolling on our phones and being on it 24/7. Did you know that time is still flying by as you’re scrolling on your phone? I’m guilty with this one. People in our lives right now are so much more than being on social media or doing whatever you do on your phone to waste time. We never know when it will be the last time to see them. This even goes for pets, too. We don’t realize how much we’re on our phones until something horrible happens to someone or when our family pet passes away. We wish that we could have more time with them, but we had all the time in the world to make the time and we still chose our phones instead.

Life is short. Do the things you have always wanted to do. Don’t live in fear. Be who God created you to be and don’t wish to be someone else or to have someone else’s life. God created you for a reason, you’re here for a reason. When you want to tell something to someone, make sure you say it and don’t hold back. Make time for those you love.

God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand His wisdom, but we simply have to trust His will. -Psalm 37:5

When you find the time, please listen to “Why God” by Austin French.

Why God
Do people have to die?
A daughter or a son
Sudden and so young
Long before their time?

Why God
Do people fall apart?
A promise and a ring
Becomes a broken thing
A road that got too hard?

I don’t understand
But I understand

Why God, I need You
It’s, why God, I run to Your arms
Over and over again
It’s, why God, I cling to Your love
And hold on for dear life
And I find, You are right by my side

The time we have here is precious and we need to make the most of it. Tell people in your life that you love them and if you have something you want to tell them, say it and don’t hold back.
