Maybe your mental health is getting worse again.

Maybe you are frustrated because what is happening right now around you, it’s out of your control and you want to change the situation, but you just can’t.

Maybe you’re struggling to find motivation to be productive because it feels like the world just kinda stopped, but life keeps going on.

Maybe you’re afraid that you’re going to gain all the weight back that you lost by working out and eating healthy because you haven’t been eating the best and it’s also a struggle to keep on working out.

Maybe you struggle with simply getting out of bed because you want to stay in bed all day.

Maybe you find it difficult to have a normal schedule and you wish you could have the life you had before this quarantine thing ever existed.

Maybe you’re alone during all of this and your thoughts are trying to get to you.

Maybe you have been watching the news every single day and you’re just tired of hearing the stories about people dying. You’re tired of hearing about the new standards that seem like it changes daily – I remember when the Government told us that there cannot be more than fifty people in a building and now that has changed to ten.

I can relate to some of the scenarios I stated above.

Ever since my college classes moved online, it has been a struggle to find motivation to keep on going – I know I’m not the only college student who feels this way! I feel like the world around us stopped, but then there are professors wanting us to keep doing assignments and it’s sooo hard for me to focus right now because of everything. You’re probably thinking, “Kylie is having a hard time staying motivated?? She would never!” Yes, it happens. I wish college students didn’t have to worry about assignments during this huge epidemic because we all have different situations we’re currently in and it’s also hard to concentrate!

So, what am I going to do about it?

For last week, I realized that it was just so hard for me to get my assignments done like I usually do and that I needed to have some sort of schedule. I have started waking up at 8AM, so I can do anything that needs to be done for each of my classes. I will be doing this from Monday through Thursday for the rest of the semester because if I don’t have a schedule, I end up not getting as much done. I also do a to-do list of all the things I have to do for a certain day and then, cross each thing off after I complete whatever it is! Also, the Zoom meetings are something I’m trying to get used to because for two of my classes, I have been doing Zoom meetings. All of my classes I have been taking this semester have all been in person at certain times each day through Thursday, so I have been doing my assignments for each class on those days online – today is Wednesday, so I will be doing my assignments for the class I have on Wednesdays. If I don’t do this, I would only be overwhelming myself!

Another thing I have been struggling with is thinking that I’m going to be back where I started two years ago when I started working out. I remember thinking about it and it honestly gave me so much anxiety.

I was telling myself, “Yeah, you haven’t been eating the best right now, but what are you going to do about

That thought inspired me to write this blog post about it! Like yeah, maybe you have gotten off track lately, but it’s ok because after all of this is over, you will go back into your normal routine. However, for right now, what are you going to do about it? What are you going to do?

I definitely do miss eating healthy and drinking almond milk instead of regular milk, but I’m trying my best to stay healthy. Remember, focus on things you’re able to control right now.

Turn off the news and focus on something else. I’m sooo tired of watching the news because by doing that, it only makes me worry and creates unnecessary stress that I don’t even need!

So, what is something you are struggling with and what are you going to do about it?

For the next blog post on Wednesday, I will be talking about some things that have been helping me to keep myself calm and distracts me from everything that is going on in the world right now.

“Now, Lord what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” -Psalm 39:7

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.

  1. I have really been missing church–we haven’t met for worship in about a month. But I finally tried attending a service online this past Sunday, and it was awesome! Best wishes for finishing your semester! I agree that having a schedule is important. I don’t let myself watch Netflix ’til 8 p.m. so I won’t end up being lazy all day every day. I’ve been doing more devotionals, reading books, exercising, and tidying up. 🙂

    1. We all are missing being at church! I’m thankful you got to attend a service online! Thank you, Lily! This semester has been interesting… I have been having Zoom classes for two of my classes on certain days of the week!🤔 Yes!👏🏻 I have been doing that too, even though it’s sometimes difficult to be productive! I pray you stay safe and are healthy, Lily!✨💗
