Have you ever felt like things kept on hitting you to the point you struggled to get back up or felt like every time something would come your way, it’s like you’re drowning?

I have and I felt this way last week…

I have been trying to get used to having four college classes online – throughout my college career, I have taken a couple of them online for each semester, but I haven’t had all four classes online like this. Mind you, these four classes were face-to-face classes, so my Professors literally had to change all of the assignments to fit this online learning.

I have two of the classes that I have to be online at certain times and they both go all the way until the time the class is over.

I had a meltdown because I felt like two of my Professors kept on giving us busy work that doesn’t even count for a grade and it was just so much, too. I felt so overwhelmed and it was as if I was going under because these assignments kept on hitting me.

It’s a little too much…

With everything going on in the world, it’s honestly so difficult for me to focus on my assignments and there have been times where I would just have a lack of motivation. Yes, I know what you’re thinking… it’s unusual for me to not have motivation to get things done. I have been trying to stay ahead of my assignments. For instance, my professor gave us an assignment last Tuesday and I spent all day finishing it on that same day!

Staying ahead of my assignments for my classes helps me so much because when I’m ahead, I can take a break from everything and I also make sure it doesn’t pile up because then that will stress me out even more!

I honestly thought I was probably the only one who felt so overwhelmed and that my Professors kept giving us busy work. Well, I’m not the only one.

One lady in my class told me how for one class, she spent all day doing assignments and she felt like she neglected her children. She said that she didn’t have time to cook them a hot meal and she felt so horrible. I assured her that she was still an amazing mom and that this wasn’t her fault.

It’s a little too much…

Every one of us has been going through something different during this time.

Maybe for you, it’s struggling to keep food on the table for your family.

Maybe it’s losing your job and you’re afraid that you’re not going to have enough money.

Maybe it’s not having enough to pay your bills and you’re struggling with that.

Maybe you’re in college like me, but you also have children who keeps you busy and you try to find the time to complete your assignments.

Maybe you’re suffering from depression or even anxiety because you hate feeling like you’re stuck and how you are unable to go anywhere.

We are all going through something different right now.

It’s a little too much for all of us.

We can all relate to each other because we’re all struggling and we are all going through this pandemic together.

I have faith that everything is going to be ok because God is in control and He will get all of us through this.

I know it feels so overwhelming right now and there is so much to take in, but you’re not alone.

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

God will take care of you and He will lead the way out of whatever you’re currently struggling with.

It’s ok to have mental breakdowns, meltdowns, etc.

It’s ok to cry because it’s a lot to take in and you’re still trying to wrap your head around everything.

It’s ok to just leave everything where it is for a moment and take a much needed break for yourself.

Remember, God is in control and He will take care of you – there is nothing that is too difficult for God to handle. He sees what you have been going through and God even sees what the entire world is battling with.

Yes, it’s a little too much at times, but with God, He will bring peace into our lives, so we won’t feel so overwhelmed.

I will be praying for each and every one of you who reads this post. I pray that you find peace during the times you feel overwhelmed and know that everything is in God’s hands.

This song I’m about to recommend to y’all to listen to is just so fitting for this blog post and it brings back so many memories. When I first heard the song, it was on the day of being diagnosed with PCOS and it reminds me of how strong I really am, so please listen to the song, “A Little Too Much” by Shawn Mendes.

She would not show that she was afraid
But being and feeling alone was too much to face
Though everyone said that she was so strong
What they didn’t know is that she could barely carry on

But she knew that she would be okay
So she didn’t let it get in her way

Sometimes it all gets a little too much
But you gotta realize that soon the fog will clear up
And you don’t have to be afraid, because we’re all the same
And we know that sometimes it all gets a little too much

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.
