There are so many things that are going on in the world and most of it is so negative. We are constantly being hit with people’s opinions and it feels like this world is somehow divided – it seems like we can’t all agree on everything and we are also unable to make every single person happy.
This world comes with so much stress, anxiety, worries, fears, etc. Society can control us, if we let it.
I love this quote by Corrie Ten Boom:
“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God, you’ll be at rest.”
That quote is so true because I realized that when I would put all of my focus on what was going on in the world around me, it tremendously impacted my mental health. I got so much anxiety and so many worries. I was never at peace. I also didn’t feel God’s peace and that is because I was more focused on the world instead of keeping my eyes on God.
Once I realized this, I knew I had to make some changes in my life.
My anxiety has gotten pretty bad and it’s probably the worst it has ever been.
My stress has been high. There are so many things that are still left unknown in my life.
I had so many worries and fears.
It got to the point where I was tired of feeling this way.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been feeling like this.
These three things I’m about to share with all of you that I have started doing has helped me to keep my eyes on God no matter what comes at me or whatever is happening in the world.
The world is only temporary and it’s such a cold, dark world we live in. It’s not going to be like this forever because one day we are going to be in a better place where we are not going to have anxiety, depression, sufferings, fears, etc. We will finally be at peace in Heaven with God.
So, here are the three things I changed in order to make my spiritual life better and to help my anxiety!

Limited My Social Media Time
This is a huge one and it’s a must!
Facebook has gotten bad to the point it started messing with my mental health.
Every time I would scroll through my timeline, the things I read were constantly political and so many people were voicing their opinions about wearing a mask in the United States. Ever since Texas made masks mandatory, I instantly got off of Facebook because I didn’t want to read what people had to say about it.
What people post on Facebook, the news, and the things that are going on in the world, all have an impact on our thoughts and how we live our life.
We will never forget what we see and read, it stays with us forever.
Too much of the consumption of social media is not good for us at all.
I have talked about this before when I did a Facebook detox.
If you haven’t done this before, I strongly recommend it and it’s such an amazing feeling to just focus on what is happening in your life instead of what is going on in someone else’s life.
Don’t get me wrong, I do check my messages on Facebook when someone messages me and I let Instagram and WordPress post on Facebook for me, so I’m not constantly scrolling on Facebook and reading what people post.
Decreasing the amount of time you spend on social media is such a freeing feeling.
If you feel like social media is affecting your mental health in a negative way, I highly recommend taking a break from it and find something to do in replace of being on social media.
Taking a break from Facebook has helped me to focus on God. I have noticed that I feel more at peace compared to when I was focusing on what was happening in the world.
Starting a Spotify Playlist
I recently thought of this idea of making my own Playlist of songs on Spotify!
My Playlist is called, Inspiration✨ and I have added songs that will uplift me and make me feel better. They are all Christian songs and I have been listening to the songs on my Playlist nonstop! I listen to them when I workout, when I’m going through something in my life, when I’m in such a good mood, and even when I’m sad. These songs on the Inspiration✨ Playlist gives me the strength to keep on going no matter what life throws at me.
I encourage you to listen to the Inspiration✨ Playlist on Spotify and I pray it gives you the strength to get back up again after you have fallen down.

Screenshot this picture, go to Spotify, click the search bar, and click camera. You will go to your images and select this picture. It will instantly take you to my Inspiration✨ Playlist so you will be able to listen to it!
You can also just click here and you will be taken to the Inspiration✨ Playlist!
I don’t know about you, but music helps me and I always turn to it when things get difficult in my life. It gives me hope that things will get better.
Now, I’m so excited to tell y’all the last thing I have started doing…
Daily Devotional on the Bible App
I recently discovered that the Bible App has something called, Plans! It’s basically devotionals where the Plan has a certain amount of days and you read the devotional and there are certain scriptures you read for each day.
I started the Plan called, Finding Peace by Charles F. Stanley and it’s a 10 day Plan, which by the time this blog post is up, I have already finished it!
Here’s a screen recording of the what the Plan looks like:
I have loved reading this Finding Peace Plan on the Bible App every morning and it gave me an idea!
With everything that has been going on in the world and the pandemic, I believe we need to focus more on God and keep our eyes on Him no matter what. With that being said, I would love to do a Bible Study with all of you each month on the Kylie’s Corner & More blog!
I made a survey that I want each of you to fill out and I would truly appreciate if you took the time to do it!
In the survey, I explain that we will be doing a Plan on the Bible App once a month and how as we go through each day, I will be posting a blog post about whatever the devotion is about for that day.
I have provided three different Plans for you to choose from and they range from 4 to 7 days. I have chosen the topic for us and the topic for this month is about fear. I have also explained in the survey that the next time we do another Plan, y’all will get to choose the topic of the Plan we will do because the Bible App has so many different topics of Plans. I have chosen Fear for our topic because I feel like we can all relate to that right now.
Anyways, I explain other things in the survey and you will also get to choose when we will start the Plan for this month!
I’m so excited for this new category on the blog and I look forward to seeing which Plan we are going to do together!
A sneak peek of the survey:
I will put the link to the survey for you after this paragraph! So, yeah, these three things have helped me keep my eyes on God and they have tremendously helped my anxiety! Have you find yourself focusing more on the world instead of on God? What you have done in your life to change that?
You can find more information about how to participate in a Bible Study with me here!

Please click on the image above and it will take you directly to the survey, so you can fill it out!

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.

Thank you so much for stopping by on the Kylie’s Corner & More blog! If you would like to, you can purchase your personalized, signed copy of Kylie’s Corner and a complimentary bookmark I designed, here! Kylie’s Corner is a devotional for anyone who is in High School and up – you can read more about Kylie’s Corner. I talk about beauty in God’s eyes, society, anxiety, and so much more in the Kylie’s Corner book. If God has someone on your heart that you feel the need to give this inspiring book to, please listen to Him. The individual may need to hear the words God put in my heart at the time when I wrote the Kylie’s Corners that are in this book.
I still have copies of Kylie’s Corner available!
