“I don’t understand.”

“I just don’t understand, God.”

“Why is this happening to me?”

“Why do I have to go through this?”

“Will I be in this situation forever?”

“Why does it have to be this way?

“I just don’t understand, God.”

“Why does it feel like everything is burning down around me?”

“I don’t understand.”

In our darkest moments, we find God through the pain and all the questioning.

We cry.

We get angry.

We get scared.

We have worries and fears that try to destroy us.

We take on demons from others and try whatever we can to protect them from getting hurt.

But, it ends up hurting us.

You will know when it’s time to let go and pray to God that He will get you through this.

2020 isn’t even over yet and this year has taught me more than ever that you can’t control what other people do. You cannot control what all is happening in the world, you just cannot do it.

Realizing that has been a struggle.

A lot of things that have happened this year has been out of my control and I cannot change these situations. I wish I could. Only God has that power to change it and it’s the fact that He allowed it to happen. There’s always a reason behind why He places these hardships in our lives, even though we don’t know why yet and we might never know until we see Him.

I don’t know about you, but I have been finding myself saying in the back of my mind: “I don’t understand” over and over and over and over again.

When you just don’t understand why these things are happening around you and in your life, you have to give it to God. You have to pray and pray hard that God will get you out of this and things will be better soon.

Sometimes you have to cry out to God and just cry because it hurts too much.

We are told to keep a smile on our face and not let anyone know what we are going through on the inside.

We are told to fake a smile and make it look like the life we are living is perfect and that we don’t have any struggles or battles we are going through.

When it comes to God, He knows exactly what we are going through. He see’s everything. He knows when you’re going to cry and why you’re crying. God knows the situation you’re in, but do you know what?

He never asked you to carry all of this by yourself and it wasn’t yours to carry anyways.

God didn’t ask you to carry all of this while He goes someplace else. He will never once leave your side.

He’s with you through it all.

God is capable of seeing things we just don’t know yet that we’re unable to see right now.

We need to trust Him through it all.

Through all the trials He gives us

Through the pain & suffering

Through the questioning and feeling confused as to why certain things have happened

We need to trust Him more than ever when things start getting difficult to the point it messes with our mental health.

I know everyone right now is feeling it – all the stress, anxiety, worries, unknowns, financial hardships, etc.

What has helped me the most is going to the Bible App every morning and reading a daily devotion while I eat breakfast. Reading the devotion and the readings that go along with it each day has brought me so much closer to God.

I have also attempting to focus only on the things I’m able to control instead of focusing on what someone else is doing.

When you put all of your focus and energy into what someone else is doing, you lose your self and it’s what hurts you the most.

You cannot help someone who doesn’t want to be helped – only the individual is capable of changing their actions. That. Is. A. Hard. Pill. To. Swallow.

We all have something we are battling with and we start losing ourself once we try to take on someone else’s battle that isn’t even ours to begin with!

That is why it’s so important to only focus on what you’re able to control.

You’re able to control your thoughts – you can think positive or negative thoughts, it’s your choice.

The way you talk to your body – you can talk badly of it or uplift it by thanking your body for doing the things it is able to do.

We have a choice of letting people be a part of our lives and we can choose not to have certain people in it.

We have a choice on how we perceive a situation.

It might be difficult right now, but just know that you won’t be in this situation forever.

You will get through this with God by your side.

Through all of these hardships, you’re going to grow into the person God has created you to be.

You will get through this.

It will get better soon.

It won’t be like this forever.

God see’s things we cannot see.

Trust God through the things you can’t seem to understand right now.

Leave everything behind in God’s hands.

Instead of saying, “I don’t understand” to God, tell Him, “What are you trying to show me in this moment? What do you want me to learn from it?”

That will change you by looking at the situation from a different perspective by asking God what He is wanting to teach you and once you realize whatever it is, you will grow from it.

When you find the time, please listen to “Have A Little Faith” by Rosemary Siemens.

“Have a Little Faith
Let’s be thankful for
this tender moment’s grace
Even when you can’t
see past the darkest days
Have a Little Faith

Let’s take a little time
It’s so hard to breathe
and see the silver line
But once you let it go
you’ll find your peace of mind
If you take a little time

All we have is what we have,
what comes tomorrow
Only heaven knows
Even when all hope is gone,
just let your light shine bright
And let it go”

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.

Have a little faith that things will get better. God always has a reason for why you go through hard times – take it all to Him and let it go. Let all of it go.

  1. Trust Him! He has a plan! Consider everything that happened to the Apostle Paul, stoned, shipwrecked, stood before several courts and national leaders. All for a testimony that he shares with the churches in his epistles.

Now let’s consider Kylie Celine 😁
