Telling God all of my desires for the future is what I do when I am going through hardships. It has helped me to look forward to everything else that God has in store for me instead of thinking that my life will just be like this forever because I know that’s not true!

There are times where I’m unable to find the words to tell God what I want to have in life and He still knows exactly what I want by examining my heart.

It’s absolutely okay if I end up not getting everything my heart desires because in the end, it’s what God had planned for me and maybe He will provide more than what I prayed for. I will be so thankful for whatever God ends up blessing me with even if it’s not exactly what I prayed for or that He gave me so much more than what I prayed for.

It’s important to have dreams for yourself and looking forward to them, but it’s not okay when you start looking forward to what is yet to come instead of focusing on where you are at right now. We miss the lesson God is trying to teach us by doing that and we tend to not learn from it and grow when our focus in on something else. What if you got to this point in your life that you prayed for, but it wasn’t how you expected it to be because it wasn’t how you dreamed it to be? Telling God all of the desires of your heart helps to give hope that God has something so much greater in store for you and it will be worth the wait, trust me!

I won’t tell y’all every little detail I want to see in my life because only God knows that, but I will tell y’all a few of them!

So, I have always dreamed of becoming a mom. I was obsessed with playing with baby dolls all the way up until maybe I was 13 or so? I just remember that I was at that age where I should have stopped playing with baby dolls, but I loved it that much. I loved pretending to feed the baby and pretending that I was the mom. I had several Cabbage Patch Kids, Baby Alive, and Chou Chou baby dolls! My most favorite was the Chou Chou babies from ToysRUS because the baby doll made cute noises and even closed her eyes as she slept, plus even snored! I had the play carseats (several), high chairs, and strollers! I loved playing with babies and pretending that my baby dolls were actual babies – I loved every bit of it! There was something about it that made me want to be a mom in the future and have a loving family. So, that is one of my dreams and even if that doesn’t work out, I would so love to adopt a baby who is in need of a loving home.

The next dream is a dream I have always had ever since I was in Kindergarten… I wanted to be an Elementary teacher! Looking back on my childhood, I loved playing school in my room and pretending that I had students in my room. I just loved every bit of playing school and being the teacher of my imaginary students! I also want to inspire my students and be that person who believes in them. I want to teach Kindergarten because at that age, children are learning how to treat other people and how to be respectful. This is the age where you start teaching children what is right from wrong and teaching them that they can make a huge difference in the world. I want to teach my students about being kind to one another and having empathy for those around them. We need to teach children these things, so when they grow up, they will change the world for the better and will know how to treat other people. There are children out there who doesn’t have someone like this in their lives and I want to be that person for my students. I can go on and on about why I feel like being an Elementary teacher is meant for me and it’s so much more than just being a teacher to me. The children that will be in my classroom are the future of this world and it is my job to teach them about kindness because we so need people like that in the world today!

Talking to y’all about these two things: dreaming of becoming a mom and teaching Kindergarten both make me so happy! This is what helps me believe that whatever I’m going through at the moment will not be like this forever and I keep telling God every little thing that is on my heart that I want in my life.

Do you have dreams for your life? Does it help you look forward to the future?

God hears you. He knows exactly what you want even before you tell Him. He hears your prayers and He is working on it. Remember: it’s His time, not your time!

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. -Psalm 37:4

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.
