“We must trust that God will provide when it is in His will and His timing. Until then we must remain joyful, free from anger and jealousy, trusting that our Lord is in control.” -Amy Groeshel

I stumbled upon the quote above from a devotional I have been reading every morning on the Bible App.

Let me give y’all the backstory of the reason behind why I’m writing this post.

Last week, I was notified that my certification exam that I need to take in order to become a certified teacher got canceled for September 22. I have no idea why, but I think it’s because the testing centers are trying their best to spread people out because of COVID.

Yes, I was disappointed.

Yes, there were some tears.

It has been stressful just trying to get into a testing center because most of testing centers right now don’t have a lot of appointments available for September and all the way to December. Spots are limited and some testing centers don’t even have any appointments available until 2021.

Long story short, I ended up scheduling my exam for October and I’m praying it doesn’t get canceled again!

In the past, this situation would have broke me.

It would have taken me awhile to accept that I wouldn’t be taking my exam in September like I hoped for. I was actually planning to take this exam this past Summer and I had that planned way before the coronavirus happened.

I know I’m not the only one that has had something affected by the coronavirus because we all have had something that the coronavirus took away from us. We are all going through this and our situations might look different, but we all feel the pain and confusion.

The thing is that we make plans for ourselves and when it’s not what we expected, we start to shut down and we question everything.

We want to control the situation we are in, but sometimes it’s out of our control.

That night of finding out that my test got canceled for September, the words, “God’s plan is greater” popped up in my head.

His plan is so much greater than what we have imagined for ourselves.

We might not know the reason behind why we are in these situations and we might not ever know, but it’s all part of God’s plan.

It’s not for us to understand everything right now.

I accepted the fact that God’s plan is greater than my own. I didn’t dwell on not being able to take my test, like I would do in the past. I cried once and picked myself back up. I knew I had to simply accept it, keep on studying for it, and not give up because like I said, God’s plan is greater.

I know for a fact that 2020 is making each of us so much stronger than before! We are going to come out of 2020 with so much clarity and strength – 2021 is going to be the year where we find ourselves again and we will be so much closer to God more than ever before.

In 2020, God has been breaking us.

But, in 2021, He is going to put all of our broken pieces back together and make us new again. We won’t be the same person we once were in the beginning of 2020. 2020 has broke me too in so many ways and I honestly am not the same person I once was in January 2020 because of everything I have been through so far has completely changed me as an individual.

I believe that every single person is going to remember 2020, it has been such a crazy year and the year isn’t even over yet!

The point I’m trying to make is that you have control of how you react to certain situations that happen in your life. You can choose to look at the positive side of things or the negative side, which that will only make you feel miserable.

God’s plan is greater than the plan you have for yourself.

God’s plan is greater than all the uncertainties and fears you may have.

God’s plan is the perfect plan for your life, there is nothing that can ever compare to His plan.

God’s plan is greater than your struggles.

God’s plan is greater than the unknown.

God’s plan is greater than everything.

There is a reason behind why God is making you wait.

Whatever you do, please don’t give up, keep your head held high, and tell yourself that it is going to be okay because… God’s plan is greater.

You are
Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God, that is who You are

You are here, touching every heart
I worship You
I worship You
You are here, healing every heart
Healing every heart
Oh, I worship You
Jesus, I worship You
You’re turning lives around
You are here, oh, turning lives around”

For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.
