What are silent battles?

Have you ever kept something to yourself that you’re currently going through and you don’t want to bother people with it?

Whatever it is, you go through it silently and you eventually overcome it.

That is what I mean by a silent battle!

Sometimes God gives us battles that we have no control over and we just have to go through it until we reach the other side of it. We might even question God and wonder why He is making us go through whatever it is.

When God gives us these silent battles, He wants us to realize that once we overcome it, we will know that God brought us through it and we didn’t do it all alone.

Silent battles are when you’re at your darkest moment in life and even though they are dark, you will come out of it so much stronger than before.

I truly believe that God gives us so much more than we can handle, so we can become closer to Him ever than before.

During these silent battles, you might feel so alone, you think that no one needs you, you feel unwanted, everything gives you so much anxiety and you’re so depressed – you just don’t feel like yourself when you’re in a silent battle.

Sometimes you just feel like giving up.

Sometimes words people I have said to you start getting in your head to the point it affects your mental health.

You have so many negative thoughts and you start beating yourself up with your own words.

You might even stop eating because you’re so depressed and even though you’re hungry, you don’t have the energy to make you something to eat. You really don’t have the motivation to do anything and you just rather stay in bed.

If you are feeling any of these things or feeling like you don’t want to be here anymore, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I don’t want any of you feeling that way and I pray that if you have or are currently feeling like that, that you will get through it. You will push through and realize how much God loves you.

He has counted every single one of your tears. He already knows your good and bad days because He’s writing your story for you.

When I look back in my past, I see everything God did for me and He’s still working on things in my life. Every battle I went through, God carried me through it and at times, I didn’t see Him there, but now, I do see Him through everything I went through.

Honestly, God is so silent when we’re going through a battle and it’s because God wants us to find Him on our own when we need Him the most. Call out to Him and He will be there right by your side through everything. He will never leave you or forget you.

God loves you so much and you’re going to get through this, I promise. Something so much better will come into your life and God is going to make it happen for you, just watch. At the end of your silent battle, you’re going to finally see the light and you will be so much stronger because of everything you went through.

When you find the time, please listen to “Over And Over” by Riley Clemmons.

“God of second chances, here to catch me every time
I thought I was unlovable ’till You told this heart of mine, yeah
I’m worth more than my past mistakes
I’m never too far gone to save
I’ve given You every good reason to walk away

But somehow You choose me
Over and over again
Over and over again
You keep running to me
No matter where I am
Over and over again
I get lost I must confess
Oh, how quickly I forget
But You keep on showing me I’m loved”

I added a new page to this blog and I encourage all of you to check it out! For those of you who are new here, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in December of 2019. I have been documenting everything that I have been through and experienced – from discussing my symptoms before I knew what was wrong, all the way to what I am doing now to help my body. My goal is to balance my hormones naturally without taking birth control. I want to give other women with PCOS hope that birth control isn’t the only option. All of the details about My PCOS journey Pinterest board can be found here.

  1. “Have you ever kept something to yourself that you’re currently going through and you don’t want to bother people with it?” YES A LOT OF THEM actually lol. This was such a timely and uplifing message for me at this time for right now I’m in one of those silent battles and it’s not easy at all but a lesson must be learnt from it and God is fighting for me. I’m never alone and I’m not fighting them alone. May God continue to bless and use you mightily for His kingdom in JESUS name. ❤
